Materials for Bridal and Evening Intensive

This class will be held in Room 603 in the Nicholas Building, the classes start at 10.00am and finish at 5.00pm each day with 1 hour for lunch. In this class you can expect to make a fabric covered base or a wired frame headpiece. You will then have the option of wiring lace, beading, adding veiling- other trim ideas can be considered and discussed. You have a wide range of materials from which to choose. Bring your selection of the following.

  • 20-20 or similar foundation material- you could use fosshape 300 or 600, or paper espaterie if you have it
  • Millinery wire.
  • Any lace you wish to use, guipure is particularly good.
  • Gold or silver jewellery wire (you can buy this at Maria's Beads on the day if you prefer)
  • Any beads you wish to use.(as above)
  • Any veiling you wish to use
  • Any feathers or other trimmings you might wish to use.
  • your general sewing kit
  • ideas that you wish to work with. Ideally you will have done some research and have some sketches of designs you would like to create
